PRACTICAL GUIDE · 13 OCTOBER 2026

Ask where a professional claim can be checked

A clear source is more useful than a vague trust label.

Identify the exact claim

Distinguish a qualification, registration, area of practice and a marketing statement. They describe different things. Ask which credential is relevant to the particular service and which authoritative body or register can confirm it in the applicable jurisdiction.

Use current primary information

Follow the relevant official source and check the identity and status carefully. If the record is unclear, contact the issuing body or ask the practice to explain. A logo, review score or paid profile is not a substitute for that check.

Avoid turning a check into a guarantee

A registration check does not establish that a service is suitable for a particular person or that an outcome is assured. This initial guide makes no claims about any named professional. Category-specific advice requires appropriately qualified review.

Original editorial preparation guidance. No named business or professional is rated, endorsed or verified. Confirm current details with the relevant primary source.
